Kanzawagawa Sake Brewery Shosetsu
Kanzawagawa Shuzo was founded in 1912 in the town of Yui in Shizuoka Prefecture. Yui is the 16th post town on the Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido as depicted by the ukiyo-e artist Hiroshige Utagawa.

Founded by the father and son team Kinzo and Yoshimatsu Mochizuki who were foresters and silkworm farmers when they decided to follow their passion for sake by opening the sake brewery near the Yui River. They created the brand name Shosestu after a local military strategist who lived an honest life even when it went against the times.
The brewery is now headed by 5th generation kuramoto Masataka Mochizuki.
Over a century has passed since its founding, and the brewers aim to create sake that you will never tire of drinking, with a harmonious balance of the five flavors of sweet, spicy, bitter, astringent, and sour, with an elegant and refreshing aroma. Their sake is known for having elegant purity from its pristine water used in brewing and refined umami that is easy to drink and food friendly.
